Young Professional of the Year Awarded to Shamila Craddock, CEO, DOC’S Facilities Solutions
DOC’S Facilities Solutions is proud to announce that CEO, Shamila Craddock will receive the 2016 Young Professional of the Year Award from the Greece Chamber of Commerce.
The Greece Chamber views investment of personal and professional leadership, and broad-based community involvement as key components for those considered for this award and DOC’S CEO embodies those qualities.
In 2014, Shamila was accepted into the Greece Chamber and quickly became an active member in support of the community by serving on committees, volunteering at the WXXI Telethon and giving for the past 3 years to United Way Day of Caring. Bridging from school to the working world, Ms. Craddock is also involved with Pointii (pointii.com), which educates high school students on employment and interviewing skills, matching them with local business leaders for training and guidance. She is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and a Certified Trainer with Cleaning Management Institute (CMI).
It’s Ms. Craddock’s opinion the development of good-paying work for owners and employees is a must, but believes setting goals on billings alone is short sighted. She notes, “Cleaning-staff are often viewed as low-level, low-value employees. The challenge is that almost anyone can clean, what many lack is structured training with a focus on good results. The real impact of a clean work place starts with impressions formed when someone enters your front office and extends to where a company’s billable production happens. I believe ‘cleaning for health’ is THAT important.”
DOC’S Facilities Solutions serves cleaning customers locally and training customers nationally and internationally, working with Business Owners, Property Managers, College & University clients.
This award will be presented during the Greece Chamber 31st Annual Community Awards Event.
